Vehicle Seizure and Drink Drive Arrest.

Yesterday, PC Richards from the Road Policing Unit responded to reports of erratic driving involving a white Volkswagen Golf R in the Newbold area. When requested to stop, the driver failed to comply, resulting in a pursuit.

A stinger device was successfully deployed, reducing the vehicle's speed. The vehicle was subsequently abandoned on Thames Street, directly outside a CCTV camera. The vehicle was seized and submitted to Operation Wolverine for further investigation.

As PC Richards was leaving the area, he came across a road traffic collision on Waithlands Road. Subsequent checks revealed that one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol, providing a roadside breath test reading of 63 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The male was later arrested, taken into police custody, and subsequently charged.
